How to get sidetracked on a photography trip: A photo blog of Tofino.
So after a three hour bus ride from our school to Tofino, our class departed to our first destination. This is the beautiful Sunset Point at Cox bay. We were originally going to take more landscape photos, but my wonderful friend Hannah is a ballerina so she became the star of this stop. I think my favourite photo from this stop has to be the one with the flowers, the moment just seemed perfect, but Hannah absolutely killed it on the rocks, breaking our teachers safety guidelines was totally worth it!
Now because this is a school trip, our poor teachers couldn't bear the thought of a bus full of hangry teenagers so our next stop was a lunch break. Most of us got lunch from Wildside Grill. I would recommend their poutine, it is absolutely amazing, the cheese to gravy ratio was spot on and the fries were so fricken delicious. We also went into Chocolate Tofino and when I told you I was drooling, I was drooling. They had some yummy looking chocolate, and they had some amazing ice cream flavours. My buddy bought me some because I'm broke. (Thank you Sarah!! <3)
And now for my favourite spot on the trip, the sea caves at South Chesterman Beach. Again, landscape wasn't entirely prioritised but I did capture a surfer at just the right moment to be right in the centre of my photo, which is cool. But do you know what's even cooler? The fact that the sea caves were perfectly lit up by the sun peaking through the crack in the top. I called it God's spotlight because of how magical it looked. Hannah looked so beautiful in these photos with her amazing ballet skills. she was brave for being in that water for so long. If you're ever at Tofino you must go to this place during low tide it's not something you'll want to miss, and if your friend does ballet, for goodness sake bring them along.
Burnout and my bad attitude kicked in at this point so during out stop at long beach, I messed around the whole time and didn't get photos... But it's still a sight for sore eyes and a top of the list destination for anyone visiting Tofino.
Now the final spot we went to was the bog trail. It was really funky in there and it doesn't even look like Canada which I found so cool. The ground off the trail was also really squishy and weird. Hannah looks like a princess or something in these photos and my teacher looks like a dork in his piss yellow rain coat, (Especially because there's not a cloud in the sky...)

Overall this was one of the best trips I've ever been on. The views were amazing, the food was so yummy and it was just nice to spend the day with my wonderful friends. Thank you to my Teachers for making this possible, it was an awesome trip I wont forget. Thank you so much for taking a look at my little photo blog, have a wonderful day!
